Dr. Cholewa’s practice incorporates both naturopathic and German bioenergetic medicine approaches with the goal of identifying the underlying causes of ill health. He uses the German VEGA assessment instrument during most visits. This method assesses the body’s autonomic nervous system responses to standardized frequencies that have known relationships to organs, hormones, toxins and allergens. In addition to performing comprehensive electro-diagnostic assessments, Dr. Cholewa takes detailed medical history, does physical examinations when appropriate and orders diagnostic tests. Although Dr. Cholewa treats acute problems such as colds and flu, patients seek his help primarily to learn about the underlying causes of chronic problems. His eight-year experience using the German bioenergetic system of electro-diagnosis enabled him to achieve high success rate in helping people uncover and treat the root causes of their conditions. His skill in providing high quality, consistent electrodiagnostic assessments is what makes him excel not only in treating disease but also in helping people build health reserves by finding weaknesses in and optimizing the condition of the key organ systems: digestive, hormonal, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, nervous and genitor-urinary.

1. Thorough Medical History, Review of Medical Records, Physical Exam:
Dr. Cholewa takes a thorough medical history as a first step to gain an understanding of the underlying causes of your condition. He believes that spending sufficient time with patients is necessary for accurate identification of root causes of ill health. He also reviews all of your medical records and performs a physical examination when appropriate.
2. Electro-Diagnostic Assessment and Diagnosis:
Accurate diagnosis is Dr. Cholewa’s primary concern. He utilizes the Vega electro-diagnostic method coupled with standard laboratory tests to uncover the underlying causes of your condition. The results of the electro-diagnostic assessment serve as a baseline to monitor your treatment progress. 
3. Individualized Treatment Plan:
Dr. Cholewa carefully individualizes your treatment program based on in-depth medical history and diagnostic assessments. At the end of each visit you receive a typewritten treatment plan comprising vitamins, minerals, botanical preparations and homeopathic medicines. If indicated, you will also receive educational materials and handouts. Most of the supplements recommended by Dr. Cholewa (with the exception of prescription items and specialized naturopathic medicines) are available at your local health food store. If you choose, you will have a chance to purchase supplements at our clinic dispensary. All dispensed naturopathic medicines and supplements are tested for maximum effectiveness and tolerance using the VEGA electro-diagnostic assessment.
